JOB TITLE: Community Development Manager
LOCATION: Peripatetic/home based/community hub
HOURS: 35 (including some evening or weekend work) Open to Job Share
SALARY: £32,000

CONTRACT TERM: 2-year fixed term contract
JOB FUNCTION AND PURPOSE:
This role will be responsible for the continued organisational development of Camp Hill Community CIC. You will oversee the exciting development of the “unit” into a community hub. You will promote the use of the hub and ensure long lasting robust partnerships are developed with residents and local businesses to promote sustainability. You will work closely with the team to ensure deadlines are met and we are on track to develop our own maintenance project and explore future opportunities. You will be the first contact for staff and will support with supervisions and HR requirements. You will deputise in the CEO’s absence.
Overall aim
To Develop a community ‘hub’ that is accessible to residents across Camp Hill and neighbouring areas. To ensure the space is delivering what the community wants and needs, your role will involve working with partners to explore innovative ways of working and becoming financially sustainable. You will work
closely with the CEO and Coordinator to ensure we are in the best position possible to meet the future development of Camp Hill.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Working with residents to ensure they have access to services that will improve their life opportunities and increase community cohesion
2. Working in partnerships with the third sector, Local Authority, and private sector to improve knowledge of the services offered and explore funding opportunities.
3. Carrying out yearly community consultations to ensure we are delivering services that the community will access.
4. Developing a steering committee which will comprise of members of the community, partners and the Local Authority, the group will review this project and feedback to the board.
5. To undertake and maintain the development and implementation of sound policies, procedures and practices to meet statutory requirements
6. To undertake the quarterly monitoring and reporting of the project performance in accordance with the service delivery framework.
7. Support the development and implementation of promotional and marketing activities
8. To prepare monthly reports to the board highlighting usages, financial information, customer feedback, areas for improvement, user information and any further pertinent information.
9. To work in partnership with other agencies working in Camp Hill or neighbouring areas, ensuring we maximise resources and prevent duplication
10. To attend and participate in the planning and delivery of events and related meetings such as training events or staff meetings.
11. To engage in training, study and other appropriate courses approved by Camp Hill Community CIC.
12. Carry out any other duties commensurate to the grade of this post as required.
